| “Wake- up & get your shoes on” doesn’t mean much, unless you live in Tornado Alley, and for this Yankee born gal, those words bring me instantly awake and moving! Ahhh! There’s nothing like Spring in Texas!
94 mph winds whipped through our city Tuesday night, toppling old trees, blowing out transformers and putting us all in the dark. What a mess! Workers, local and out-of-town crews worked through the dark and rain, to get power back to our neighborhood late last night. Clean up on our property will take another few days, we are grateful the storm didn’t cause any injuries, or take the roof off this old Home. The real up-side of the past few days has been the chance to meet many of our neighbors, as we wandered around surveying the damage.
If the weather holds over the next few days, it should be business as usual by Monday, but for now - its back to my twig-pickin’ ! |
