Soothing Myself In Spring

by @ 3:50 pm on April 23, 2007.
I can not seem to stay indoors!  Anyone who is a real life Friend of mine, will wonder if I’m ill - I so rarely leave my Home.  It is Spring at Last and I have a reason to venture from my machine.. the garden.  I have been working like a busy bee -  fighting TEXAS for my own tiny piece of green.

This year I’ve turned my flowerbox into a herb garden.

IMUS The Protector Of Geezers has a new look.

My 1st try with a Gerber Daisy

SO my Friends, if you don’t see ole Madame around much, its just cause I’m happily puttering in my garden, and ridding my piece of the neighborhood of those stinkin’ dirty grackles.

No, the pellets can't kill them. Dang It!

And now a word from Mister Wordsworth

What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be not forever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
Grief not, rather find,
Strength in what remains behind,
In the primal sympathy
Which having been must ever be,
In the soothing thoughts that spring
Out of Human suffering,
In the faith that looks through death
In years that bring philophic mind.
William Wordsworth
English poet (1770 - 1850)
