| Can you think of a better time of the year to meet up with Old Dear Friends, than Thanksgiving?
Just recently I began hanging out in my favorite chat venue, MIRC, and I can’t tell you how nice it has been. When I think back the past 15 or so years, I can count many wonderful cyber and real time relationships, born of that one program. Real connections and true Friendships got built in that corner of CyberTown. My residency in MircLand began in a room named #submission on the dal.net server, that went belly-up, when the spam bots got loose. I’ve been gone from the neighborhood the past few years, our time and energy focused on building our business, but wandered back to the place where some dear Friends are, in the #bondage room, on the bondage.com server. Just this morning I popped in to catch up with the old crowd, and it was like Home Coming Day, with familiar nicks I hadn’t seen in years, stopping by and reminiscing. Enny, minute, anglique, sam, Parry, Cord, lira, Proud Mary and many of our other cyber Buds are there on MIRC hangin’ out. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to chat with them again. Of course it makes me want to see them too, as we did once in Boston and Dallas, way too many years ago. Who knows, maybe today will be the one where another Blast From The Past comes tottering in! i couldn’t have said it better myself. Gawd, sometimes i long so for those old days where so many of us were around…. and the questions and problems were what we’d now consider silly. But some of those ppl, met in this strange way have become my best real time friends, and have been there for me when it was important.
Somehow we managed to cut through the irc BS and touch hearts, and i’ve forever thankful for beng able to do that.
oh wow, i was gonna just be all sweetness and light… but the truth is these ppl mean the world to me.
