Wow! What a trip that was! From N TEXAS to San Diego and back again. The BlueToon Crew is happy to be Home and almost in one piece. Generally our Road Trips To Fun turn out to be 100% positive, unfortunatlly this last one, had some drama and injury.
This was the second time our company was present at Cybernext Expo, and it was truly unfortuante for all conscerned that the host hotel was ungracious and downright rude. No no, not the fine Staff, many of whom were serving last year. The managment, who were dishonest with the event and the planners and made the attendees feel unwelcome and distained.
I was appalled at the “show of force” marched in on the opening night. The military training of the security staff was obvious and the message clear - guilty of something. Below is just a few of the many Staff Pros who I dubbed-
The Titty Patrol

All whining aside, the Expo owners and associates did a bang up job at turning around an event that may have been doomed by bigotry. Although roy and I were only able to attend on Thursday & Friday, we were pleased to see many of our favorite vendors, and meet a few new ones. Lucky for me, the volleyball game was played right below our balcony and we could join in the FUN.
Our thanks to Fay, Dave and LAJ for all the extra hard work and aggravationthat the Kona Kai Resort on Shelter Island (formerly the Shelter Pointe) caused, when they attempted to ruin a great show!
Big Props out to all the sponsors for doing it up right, for our belittled industry!
